“Journalism can never be silent: That is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault. It must speak, and speak immediately, while the echoes of wonder, the claims of triumph and the signs of horror are still in the air.”
— Henry Anatole Grunwald
Hello and welcome to Josh Jones Journalism; as it suggests, this is a journalistic blog written by me, Josh Jones! Having spent the first 19 years of my life living in Leicester, I moved to London in September 2017 for my NCTJ Sports Journalism course at News Associates, Wimbledon.
Sports have always been a massive part of my life, through playing, officiating, watching and writing. Being a Leicester City supporter naturally means that I am used to experiencing the very highs and lows of being a sports fan. My desire is to share some of that passion for sports and writing, combining it to provide articles which are both accurately insightful but also provide readers like yourself with a slightly different perspective and angle on a variety of matters.
I hope that you like what I write, of course, and that it meets the expectations you may have of a sports blog. If you do like it, please do drop me a message, comment and share what you have read – I would thoroughly appreciate it! Alternatively, if you have any suggestions for improving the blog or don’t agree with what you’ve read, again please do let me know. Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org, tweet me @_joshuajones or drop a comment on this site and I’ll get back to you.
Many thanks and happy reading,
